Membership of the club is open to all over 18s who meet the required level of play. Most playing sessions allow any member to play so they must be able to sustain a rally and know the principles of the game. We invite applicants to attend a taster session to assess an appropriate level of competency to join the club but there are also coaching sessions available for complete beginners (see below). Once beginners reach a suitable level they may be recommended to join the club.
If you have played pickleball or another racket or ball sport before to a proficient level, please apply to attend a taster or introductory session by sending an email to badpickleballclub@gmail.com for the attention of the membership secretary.
Beginner sessions
We currently run beginner sessions twice a week at Wodson park: Monday 09:30 -11.00 and Thursday 13.00-14.0. Any new players will need to join a WhatsApp group where a poll is run to see who’s available. The charge is £10 per person and this covers court, equipment and coaching. If a player improves sufficiently then they will be recommend to join BaD . Contact Murray at murraya2727@gmail.com

There is no fee to attend a taster session and all equipment is provided. If membership follows, a joining fee of £10 is charged together with an annual membership of £12 pro rata and an attendance fee at each session, which is currently £5 or £6.
