Club guidelines and rules – September 2020

·      Players must not attend if they have any symptoms of Covid 19 (link to NHS website)

·      Players must adhere to social distancing and hygiene guidelines and maintain 2m social distancing on court and off court

·      The maximum number of players for the Tuesday session at Wodson is 28 (6 courts) and at the Bishops Stortford High School Sports Hall (5 courts) is 22 to facilitate social distancing

·      Members need to indicate they want to play in advance of the session and the list of names will be kept for 21 days for Track and Trace purposes

·      Players must wash or sanitise their hands before the session and after the session

·      Anyone not playing on court must remain 2 meters from those playing and each other

·      No bodily contact, including handshakes and high fives

·      Players must not share equipment, this includes water bottles and paddles

·      If players use a paddle from the BaD box, they must use the same paddle throughout the session and sanitise the paddle prior to returning it to the box

·      Balls need to be sanitised after each game and before returning the ball to the box. If a ball rolls into another court, please indicate if it is your ball. The ball should then be gently kicked back

·      Leave bags away from other players bags

·      The pickleball nets will be put up by the staff at Wodson and should not be touched by players if possible. If you do touch the net or stands, please use a hand sanitiser. At the Bishops Stortford High School players will put up the nets so ensure you wash or sanitise your hands afterwards.

·      People at increased risk from the corona virus or shielding or living with someone who is shielding should think carefully about the risk of playing pickleball indoors

·      Anyone playing must understand that they do so at their own risk
